Data Science Internship Agenda:

Week 1: Python Programming & Data Handling with Pandas and Jupyter

• Structured scripting using Python: variables, logic, and I/O operations

• Data ingestion and transformation using Pandas

• Hands-on with data exploration, summaries, and profiling

• Assignment: Analyze and clean an e-commerce sales dataset using Jupyter Notebook

Week 2: Data Wrangling & Profiling using OpenRefine and Python

• Schema alignment, deduplication, and data normalization using OpenRefine

• Handling messy, inconsistent data formats

• Generating profiling reports using pandas-profiling and seaborn

• Assignment: Clean and standardize a real-world HR attrition dataset

Week 3: Business Dashboards & Visual Analytics using Tableau Public and Python Visualization Libraries

• Creating interactive dashboards in Tableau Public

• Visual storytelling and layout best practices

• Data visualization with matplotlib and seaborn for report-ready plots

• Project: Develop a multi-page Tableau dashboard for category-wise performance reporting

Week 4: Regression Modeling & Pipeline Building with Scikit-learn and Matplotlib

• Building regression models with scikit-learn

• Evaluating performance with MAE, RMSE, and R² metrics

• Feature engineering, residual analysis, and model tuning

• Project: Predict housing prices with full pipeline and plotted insights

Week 5: Classification Models & Dash UI using Scikit-learn and Python Dash

• Implementing Logistic Regression and Decision Trees for binary classification

• Model evaluation using confusion matrix, ROC-AUC, and precision-recall curves

• Basic app interface using Python Dash to showcase live model predictions

• Project: Build a student performance prediction dashboard with real-time input simulation

Week 6: Capstone Execution on Kaggle Dataset with End-to-End Deployment on GitHub

• Select a domain-specific dataset from Kaggle (healthcare, banking, HR, retail)

• Full pipeline: problem framing → cleaning → modeling → visualization

• Document work in a GitHub repository with structured README, visual outputs, and conclusions

• Project: Capstone case study with final model, dashboard, and published repository
